What You'll Need

Equipment-wise grab a bowl, some measuring spoons, and maybe a whisk. Now for the ingredients:

Black sesame seeds
White sesame seeds
Poppy seeds
Caraway seeds
Garlic powder
Dried minced onion

Oh and about 5 minutes of your time. That's it!

What To Serve With It

You can put this spice mixture on SO MANY THINGS! Apart from toast with peanut butter/avocado, bagels with cream cheese, and buttered popcorn? I've got a few options for you.

No knead everything bread - right there in the name!
Brown butter herb dinner rolls & rosemary garlic dinner rolls - swap out the fresh herbs and garlic for a tablespoon (or two) of everything bagel seasoning.
Leftover sourdough starter rosemary biscuits - same premise as above. Substitute the fresh rosemary and garlic powder with a tablespoon of the seasoning.
Everything bagel hot cross buns - a savory hot cross bun option!

🙌🏻 Egg wash 🙌🏻. Whisk together an egg yolk and a little bit of milk or water (a couple tablespoons will do) and brush it on top. Then sprinkle this everything bagel seasoning to your heart's content!

TBH since this is a seasoning recipe, I can't really answer this one. Without the particular 6 ingredients listed above, it becomes a different type of spice mix. Feel free to try out different versions!

Storage

General rule of thumb for mixtures of whole and ground seeds/spices/dried herbs is that they'll last about 6 months in your spice cabinet. They lose their potency and flavor as time goes on. As long as your everything bagel seasoning is kept in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, it'll last 6 months or so! If you aren't sure, give it a smell test. If it smells like an everything bagel, it's good to go. If it smells like nothing, time to toss it.
