August 24th and I've already started using pumpkin in my recipes 😬🤷🏼♀️. Technically, this strawberry banana pumpkin smoothie is a transition recipe from summer to autumn so I think it's acceptable...Aka sorrynotsorry but the pumpkin begins 😎!
How is This Strawberry Banana Pumpkin Smoothie a Transition Recipe?
Simple! Summer fruits, and autumn squash. Boom. Use up the last of the summer strawberries and mix it with new flavors of autumn.
New flavors of autumn? Ahem: A cup of pumpkin puree, a dash of cinnamon, a little ginger, and a smidgen of nutmeg.
How to Make a Strawberry Banana Pumpkin Smoothie
Literally throw the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. That's it! Quick note: to make this delightful beverage vegan, swap out the yogurt for a no dairy version (cashew yogurt works great) and make sure to use agave nectar instead of honey to sweeten (if necessary).
Ready to move into fall?? Blend up the recipe below!
