Hi friends! Just hitting you up with a quick Kitchen Happenings update π. For those just popping in, I took some time off from cooking over the month of January (see Behind the Scenes Update) to help my shoulder heal and do some very much needed updating of our website. Now I did get quite a bit done on the back end of Aberdeen's Kitchen but...I got hit with some serious sinusitis and bronchitis resulting in urgent care visits, x-rays, doctor appointments, and ALL the antibiotics. Also, I do indeed have a right arm issue - shoulder bursitis with a side of tennis elbow, all the while "living on the edge in the wheel house of frozen shoulder". Direct quote from the specialist, which meant physical therapy at least twice a week and wearing a brace at home with an ice pack multiple times a day π.
Meanwhile, Aella turned into a straight up toddler. She can almost walk on her own and CLIMBS onto the couch now, preferring to launch herself off it in the hopes that someone will catch her. It's absolutely terrifying. Plus, we're also having some serious emotions and feelings about, well, everything.Β Toddler tantrums galore! Lovehersomuchbutdearlord.
So.
Kitchen happenings - I didn't get as much as done as intended π«£. I just finished up my second round of broad spectrum antibiotics, and am able to get back to working on helping my arm heal. Ergo, I need a smidge more time until I get back to cooking! I'll be attempting a couple recipes next week to see how if feels ππ» and should be able to get you fresh inspiration for your kitchen the week following!
As always, thank you for your patience and for supporting Aberdeen's Kitchen. I wouldn't be where I am today without you and appreciate you being here with me through all of this!
Cheers β€οΈ,
Aberdeen
Christine
That sounds painful! Take as much time as you need, and we'll be here when you get back. π Sending well wishes to you!

Take care of Yourself! Thatβs what is most important. And hang in there, eventually it will get easier and better. Toddlers are a job!
