Engagement Time!

Yuuuuup it's about to get super cheesy around here so be prepared (anyone else always hear "Be Prepared" in Scar's singing voice in your head when you read it? No? Just me?). We got our engagement photos back!!! Took us long enough right? He "popped the question" as they say in June of 2016 ????, but hey life happens. Anyway, they're gorgeous!!

HUGE thanks to the amazing Kim Stanton over at The Big Day Wedding Photography. She found the most beautiful places all over Washington Park up in Anacortes; big scenic overlooks, beaches, cliff sides, and dappled sunlit forest paths. Could not have wished for a better photographer or a nicer person to take our engagement photos!

Not sure if you know this, but I'm a smidge camera shy (aHA! the lack of selfies on my instagram now makes sense!). I just always feel slightly ridiculous when staring into a camera, especially without a smile, and there's no rhyme or reason for it. But Kim made it so easy and natural to take these photos that any camera shyness was blown away in the (considerable) breeze (it was definitely a little gusty, made for excellent dramatic photos ????). No awkward, overly cheesy poses, just us being us. Half of these photos we were dancing, laughing, and getting excited about our upcoming big day (which is rapidly coming up! WOW does time fly).
