Description

A tropical twist on the classic whiskey sour with bourbon, pineapple, lemon, and a silky foam finish. Garnished with a Luxardo cherry and swirl of cherry syurp!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz rich syrup (2:1 sugar to water)
  • 1 egg white (substitute aquafaba for a vegan version)
  • Garnish: Luxardo cherry + a couple drops of cherry syrup (or a swirl if you prefer!)
  • Ice, for shaking

Instructions

  1. Add bourbon, pineapple juice, lemon juice, rich syrup, and egg white (or aquafaba) to a cocktail shaker without ice. Dry shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
  2. Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
  3. Strain into your choice of rocks glass, coupe glass, or tiki glass.
  4. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry and swirl a couple drops of the cherry syrup over the top. Serve immediately.

Notes

Egg white substitute: For a vegan version, swap the egg white with aquafaba (the liquid from canned chickpeas). It creates a similar silky foam without altering the flavor.

Rich syrup: Make your own by combining 2 parts sugar with 1 part water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stir frequently for about 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves, then cool completely before using.

No shaker? No problem! Use a mason jar with a tight lid to dry shake and ice shake your cocktail in a pinch.
