Description

A refreshing melon twist on the classic salad with heirloom tomatoes, chunks of mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups cantaloupe melon balls (about 1 large cantaloupe, scooped with a melon baller)
  • 4 cups heirloom tomatoes of varying colors, cut into bite sized chunks (about 2-3 large tomatoes)
  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese, roughly torn into bite size pieces
  • 1/4 cup basil, roughly minced
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh ground black pepper, finishing salt


Instructions

  1. Arrange cantaloupe, tomatoes, and mozzarella chunks on a platter as desired.
  2. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and a bit of olive olive.
  3. Sprinkle with basil and fresh ground black pepper.
  4. Garnish with finishing salt. Chill until ready to serve.
