Enjoy spooky season to its fullest by sipping on this blackberry & cranberry margarita with a festive sanded sugar rim!

Units Scale
  • 2 ounces Reposado tequila
  • 1 ounce Cointreau (you can also use triple sec)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup blackberries + extra for garnish
  • Agave nectar or simple syrup to sweeten, as desired
  • Black and gold sanding sugar, for rim garnish

  1. Mix sanding sugars on a shallow plate. Run a lime slice along the rim of your margarita glass. Dip the rim the glass onto the plate with the sanding sugars until coated. Set aside.
  2. Muddle tequila, cointreau, cranberry juice, blackberries, and lime juice together in a cocktail shaker. until blackberries are thoroughly "smooshed". Shake until combined.
  3. Taste and add sweetener as desired. Start with a small amount, ¼ to ½ teaspoon. Mix after each addition and taste again (I prefer mine with little to no sweetener but most people like a touch of sweet).
  4. Fill sugar rimmed glasses with ice. Pour the margarita mixture in the cocktail shaker over the ice. Garnish with a blackberry and serve immediately.
