Enjoy spooky season to its fullest by sipping on this blackberry & cranberry margarita with a festive sanded sugar rim!

- 2 ounces Reposado tequila
- 1 ounce Cointreau (you can also use triple sec)
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
- 1/4 cup blackberries + extra for garnish
- Agave nectar or simple syrup to sweeten, as desired
- Black and gold sanding sugar, for rim garnish
Instructions
- Mix sanding sugars on a shallow plate. Run a lime slice along the rim of your margarita glass. Dip the rim the glass onto the plate with the sanding sugars until coated. Set aside.
- Muddle tequila, cointreau, cranberry juice, blackberries, and lime juice together in a cocktail shaker. until blackberries are thoroughly "smooshed". Shake until combined.
- Taste and add sweetener as desired. Start with a small amount, ¼ to ½ teaspoon. Mix after each addition and taste again (I prefer mine with little to no sweetener but most people like a touch of sweet).
- Fill sugar rimmed glasses with ice. Pour the margarita mixture in the cocktail shaker over the ice. Garnish with a blackberry and serve immediately.
