Description
With the classic black tea base and just a hint of floral flavor, this latte is the perfect way to warm up on a chilly spring morning!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 teaspoon loose leaf earl grey tea or 1-2 bags earl grey tea (depending on how strong you like your tea!)
- 2 to 3 dried rose buds
- 4 ounces cup steamed milk (about 1/2 cup)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla paste*
- 1/4 teaspoon white sugar
Instructions
- Brew earl grey tea with dried rose buds, letting it steep for about 5 minutes. Remove tea bags/tea strainer. If not using a tea strainer, make sure to strain the tea before adding the milk.
- If you don't have a steamer, scald ¼ cup of milk in the microwave, or on the stove. Using a milk frother or an immersion blender, froth the milk until you've got about a ½ cup.
- Pour steamed milk into the brewed tea, making sure to pour the milk from underneath the frothy top.
- Gently stir in vanilla and sugar. Top with frothy milk. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
I prefer to use vanilla paste because it has more flavor and a little bit of texture, adding richness to the latte. However, vanilla extract will also work just fine!
If you're not a fan of white sugar, you can try any of your favorite sweeteners! Agave, honey, etc.
