My name is Aberdeen, food blogger here at Aberdeen’s Kitchen, where I cook and share my favorite foods, drinks, and desserts, giving in to that sweet tooth so many try to avoid. All about creative, comfort foods and easy recipes, Aberdeen’s Kitchen helps you find those perfect meals you’ll be proud to share with family and friends.
Nothing makes me happier that creating great food. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved cooking. My favorite present when I was a kid was not the mermaid barbie whose tail changed colors in warm or cold water, or the mini trampoline I liked to launch myself off of, but my easy bake oven. I could make things without mom or dad! When I was 16, I asked for a kitchen aid mixer instead of a car. Having made it through several moves, it still sits proudly on my kitchen counter. My all time favorite was my first chef’s knife I got as a going off to college gift.
After graduating from UC Davis with a bachelor of science degree, I decided it was finally time for culinary school. I moved up here to Seattle and attended Le Cordon Bleu, where I learned everything you can possibly imagine about food.
Since 2012, I have been using what I learned at Le Cordon Bleu as a Chef at an early childhood development center making nutritious, healthy, and delicious food for kids. However, kids do have a bit more of a limited palate than my own. Enter Aberdeen’s Kitchen!
This is where I cook new as well as tried and true recipes to share with all of you in the hopes that you will enjoy them as much as I do. So take a quick minute and check out my blog, whip up a dish, and let me know how it turns out!
